Quality New Orleans Wedding Photography

My name is Steve Randon and I've been involved in New Orleans wedding photography  for over 20 years now.  I've been operating on the northshore since 1999 and just recently opened my new studio in Mandeville.

Check back often for updates and comments are welcome.  I am very busy so I cannot post all of my sessions..I wish I could.

Thanks for stopping by!

By the way...I'm the little guy ( with the red groovey jacket) in the photo to the left.  That was me helping my dad "shoot" a wedding back in 1977.

Noelle & Micah’s Wedding

Noelle and Michah currently reside in Florida and traveled down to New Orleans to celebrate their wedding day before close friends and family.  There ceremony took place at The Royal Sonesta Hotel, then the reception followed at Muriels Jackson Square.  This was the weekend before Thanksgiving and as you can imagine, the French Quarter was quite busy.  To say the least, Noelle and Michah received some attention as we walked through the Quarter to do our shoot.  These were some of my favorite images, but are somewhat of a hybrid choice because some are wedding day images and others are from the post wedding day shoot.

Danielle and JP

Here are a few of my favorite images from Danielle and JP’s wedding. Both got dressed at the International House Hotel on Camp Street in New Orleans.  The ceremony and reception took place a few miles away at the Columns Hotel on St. Charles Avenue.  This was the first wedding I have ever done that I’ve seen a real metal ball and chain.  JP told me had had to wear that heavy thing around his leg for his entire bachelor party!

Matt and Lauren’s Engagment Session

Here are some of my favorite images from Matt and Lauren’s engagement session.  We took the majority of the images in Madisonville, which made for an excellent setting.  I am looking forward to shooting the wedding which will take place this coming November at Venusian Gardens in New Orleans (French Quarter).  This is a couple who were extremely fun to shoot and had a great energy going on the whole time and I believe I captured that energy in my photographs..I love when that happens!

Cari and Zac’s Wedding

Cari and Zac’s wedding took place on June 19, 2009.  The ceremony and reception was held at Vintage Court in Covington.  The heat was really turned up on this wedding!  Although it was burning hot a little warm, the setting couldn’t be more beautiful.  They were a blast to photograph, from the engagement session, the formal session and finally the wedding.  Special thanks to Cari for being the star of my recent magazine ads and for helping promote me to her 256,489 friends!

September 30, 2009 - 12:00 PM Bilal - I really like the 2nd picture. It looks like you're thinking, "Oh is today my wedding day? I totally forgot cause I'm clearly a badass." Also your dad looks like a young Raul Julia. Also badass.

Angela and Brandon’s Wedding

Angela and Brandon’s wedding took place on June 13, 2009 at Southern Oaks Plantation.  As you can see they had a real good time!  Not long before the wedding I received an invitation to their rehearsal dinner, not as a photographer but as a guest.  I was honored and it really helped with getting to know them as well as their family and bridal party.   Both of them are a mixture of fun and craziness which I easily identified with..haha.  Congratulations Angela and Brandon! This was their first time seeing one another that day..priceless!

Kristen and Kevin’s Wedding

Kristen and Kevin’s wedding day took place on May 15, 2009 at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel in the French Quarter.  The ceremony was very intimate in the courtyard of the hotel where family and close friends came from out of town to be part of their wedding day.  Being from out of town, the bride and groom were determined to be photographed walking around the French Quarter after the ceremony, which is always fun for me.  They were very comfortable in front of the camera and enjoyed every minute of our post ceremony photo shoot.  It was awesome watching pedestrians treat Kristen and Kevin like movie stars, stopping traffic for us as well as inviting us up onto a private balcony for photo ops. The cake was like something I’ve never seen before.  Kevin told me the name of it…something french..anyway check it out!  The night ended with all attendants doing a second line through the Quarter complete with a police escort and a jazz band to lead.

Allison’s Senior Session

Allison is an upcoming 2010 senior at Fountainbleu High School.  The other day we did the session at my studio in Mandeville as well as a few other on location areas I like.  We did some of Allison smiling, but I really liked her serious expressions.   I thought she did extremely well in front of the camera as you can clearly see.  Allison, amongst many other students in the area, are tired of the same old traditional photos that the school takes.  Thats where I come in.  Im running a special for 2010 seniors right now for a limited time this summer.  Before I forget, special thanks to Allison’s mom Linda for helping out with the session.

Jenny’s Bridal Session

Jenny got married a couple of years ago and decided to come to me and have a better-late-than-never bridal session.  She did not want any traditional images which was way ok by me!  Even though she had’nt worn the dress in about 2.5 years, it fit her perfectly!   An old sofa on the side of the road made for a perfect prop.  I loved the sofa image so much I ordered a 30×40 canvas to go on my studio wall.  Special thanks to Jenny’s sister Anna who made a great assistant.
